National Walk@Lunch Day

April 27 is National Walk@Lunch Day.  Walk?  Just take a walk on your lunch break?  What good is that going to do?

Walking is a great, low-impact exercise that most people can complete on their lunch break, weather permitting, and can offer a vast amount of benefits:

1.)  Lowers blood pressure

2.) Raises HDL levels (the good cholesterol)

3.) Lowers LDL levels (the bad cholesterol)

4.) Helps manages weight

5.) Improves your mood

6.) Improves blood circulation

7.) Decreases the risk of heart disease

8.) Decreases the risk of osteoporosis

9.) Decreases the risk of type 2 diabetes

10.) Taking a walk break at work helps revive and increase your focus for the afternoon.
