I Made a Smoothie That Tastes Good!

Anna is master of smoothies, me not so much. I’m terrible at following recipes. So she gave me a list of items to stick into this smoothie. Not a recipe technically, but a list of foods I like. It’s the first smoothie I’ve ever made that tastes good and has more than just fruit (ie, sugar)  in it!

 

Here’s what’s in it:

-a carrot
-2 big handfuls of raw curly kale
-2 large oranges
-a handful of fresh-frozen strawberries and peaches (that I washed and froze while they were in season)
-1/4 cup oat bran (I let it soak up some hot water first)
-about a cup of water
-1/4 cup almond meal (just ground up almonds)
-1-1/2 tablespoons of fresh ginger

A whole meal, really!
