Coconut Oil: From cooking to hair conditioning

Coconut oil is a fun little item to keep in your kitchen.  Using it to cook in Asian inspired dishes will add a wonderful flavor to your cooking and offers a variety of health benefits.  I have even added it to bread recipes!  Check out The Huffington Post’s article or Care2 health Living article for more information on the health benefits of coconut oil.

Recently a woman with healthy  hair told me that she uses coconut oil on her hair every few weeks.  She applies it to the ends for 10-30 minutes before lathering up with shampoo.  In the winter, when her scalp tends to dry out, she’ll massage coconut oil on her scalp prior to shampooing.  Thus far I have used coconut oil on the last few inches of my hair and loved the results!

    true ! and i belive all the roomers spreading about Cocount oil connected with Cholesterol and all are just some bloomers or marketing strategies .. recent studies showing coconut oil have an amazing Anti cancers properties 🙂
